Lee Hatfield is an Instructor with the Parapsychological Education Centre (PEC) and a former PEC student who transitioned into teaching through his dedication to evidence-based paranormal research and investigation. He is also one of the three co-founders of Scientific Investigation of Paranormal Activity Canada (SIPA Canada), where he serves as Team Lead for Press Liaison, Media, and Podcast Hosting.
Originally from the United Kingdom and now based in Ottawa, Ontario, Lee served in the Royal Air Force before spending 25 years working as both a firefighter and paramedic. His professional background in emergency services helped shape his disciplined, analytical, and skeptical approach to extraordinary claims and anomalous experiences.
Lee’s interest in paranormal phenomena began following a profound experience while responding to a cardiac arrest call as a paramedic in 2006. Since then, he has dedicated himself to investigating unexplained phenomena with a mindset grounded in critical thinking, evidence evaluation, and open-minded skepticism.
Through his work with PEC and SIPA Canada, Lee promotes a balanced investigative philosophy focused on objective analysis, public education, and responsible discussion surrounding paranormal claims and experiences.
